Measured Miscellanea is a weekly newsletter sent on Sundays by Blackowl LLC (“we”, “us”). This policy explains what we collect when you subscribe or visit this site, and how we use it.
WHAT WE COLLECT
When you subscribe, we collect your email address and, if you choose to give it, your name. Our email provider, Mailchimp, also records basic subscription activity such as when you subscribed and whether you open or click emails.
This site uses Google Analytics to collect visit data, such as pages viewed, device type, and approximate location. Google Analytics uses cookies and similar technologies to do this. You can opt out with Google’s browser add-on or by blocking cookies in your browser.
HOW WE USE IT
We use your information to send the newsletter, to confirm your subscription, and to understand which issues are read. We do not sell or share your personal information with third parties for their own marketing.
SERVICE PROVIDERS
Your information is processed by Mailchimp (email delivery), Google (analytics), and our hosting provider. These providers may only use it to provide their services to us.
YOUR CHOICES
You can unsubscribe at any time using the link at the bottom of every email. To ask us to access, correct, or delete your information, email email@mmisc.com.
RETENTION
We keep your information for as long as you are subscribed. If you unsubscribe, we keep a minimal record so we do not email you again, and delete the rest on request.
CHANGES
We may update this policy and will change the date above when we do. Material changes will be announced in the newsletter.
